SENIOR HIGH ‘12      Feb. -  March 4
As if there wasn’t enough reason to look forward to February (Valentines Day, a three day weekend for Presidents’ Day, the beginning of Lent on Ash Wednesday Feb. 22, my personal favorite being today’s celebration of Ground Hogs Day, and for those who enjoy football, of course, the Super Bowl), we have another incredible day which is a total gift - Feb. 29!  A whole extra 24 hours added this Leap Year to a month that is (in my humble opinion) always feeling a little slighted by its lack of days in comparison to its 11 other calendar companions!  And the way 2012 is flying by, believe me, I need that additional day, so here’s to Leap Year and a fabulous February for all!

SUNDAY MORNINGS

  •  9:15-10:15 a.m. Sr. High Hour for Refreshment & Reflection-Marcus Whitman Room
  • 10:30-11:30 Worship-Sanctuary 11:30-Noon Coffee Hour/Great Hall; friends invited.

NOTE: During Coffee Hour on Feb. 5-12, Raffle tickets on sale  = points for helping!
 
SUNDAY EVENINGS
Fellowship (grades 9-12) meets Sundays 7:30-9 p.m. in Multi-Purpose Room (unless noted.)  Friends invited to join this time of recreation, planning, and study.  Topics are:  

  • Feb. 5 - Mardi Gras planning!   Feb. 12 - Mardi Gras = NO Youth Group (see below)
  • Feb. 19 - “Deal Breakers”   Feb. 26 - Mandatory Mission Trip Meeting #1 (Multi-Purpose Room) 7:30 -8:15 p.m. followed by Youth Group “Setting Sights”
  • March 4 - NO Group following Youth Ski Trip (Registration form enclosed)     


SPECIAL EVENTS
Youth Ski Trip to Mt. Bachelor March 2 - 3 - Registration form available on this website under permission forms.  Early registration is Sunday, Feb.  19; final deadline is Feb. 28!  Celebrate this great winter!
                       
MISSION TRIP 2012 (JUNE 16 - 23) UPCOMING EVENTS

  • Sunday, Feb. 5 and 12 - Mardi Gras Raffle Tickets on Sale 11:30 - noon - HELP!

This Sunday, Feb. 5, Mardi Gras Planning Meeting starts at 7:30 in the Multi-Purpose Room. Bring ideas for games/activities for the Feb. 12 event - points earned for planning! Weekday afternoons thru Feb. 10=Raffle canvassing to area merchants-call for times.

  • Sunday, Feb. 12,  we host Mardi Gras!  Set up 1-5, event 5 - 7, clean up 7 - 8, all in the Great Hall.  This is an All Hands On Deck event - more details will be available next week after our planning meeting Feb. 5, but plan NOW to be here for Mardi Gras!  
  • Sunday, Feb. 26, Mandatory Meeting #1, 7:30 - 8:15 p.m.  Multi-Purpose Room.

Our dates are set (June 16 - 23), we are heading to California to work on a variety of projects for the week, and we have work to do to select theme, etc. We need all present!
